What is this weird instrument?

During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, I decided to pick up a new instrument. I've always wanted to learn guitar, but everytime I tried, I just couldn't get it. Blame it on small fingers, blame it on using picks, blame it on skill issue. But being a big King Crimson fan, I've had a fascination with the Chapman Stick.

I look at the instrument as playing a guitar like a piano. Even though my fingers haven't grown at all, coming from a piano background originally, the instrument came to me far more naturally than guitar ever did.
